Rules

Our server rules are:

1. We will treat others as each of us would like to be treated, or better.
2. When we disagree, we will do so without being disagreeable.
3. We will not post lewd images or videos to the public local timeline.
4. These behaviors will not be tolerated in our instance:

• Scams
• Harassment
• Adult content that includes underage people
• Racism
• Misogyny
• Xenophobia
• Homophobia
• Transphobia

Moderation

Content moderation is a hotly debated topic, where moderators are making decisions on behalf of the members of the Zeal Center to keep our server within our guidelines and foster a space for our members to engage with each other and the Fediverse at large in a safe way. If you disagree with a moderation decision, please reach out to Wizard.

When a post from a member of the Zeal Center is reported by a user, whether from inside the server or from other federated servers, the author of the post will be contacted regarding the post. The actions taken could be:

• Asking the author to edit the post or add a content warning.
• Removing the post.
• Suspending the author for a period of time.
• Suspending the author permanently.

Silencing

Servers are silenced when their content may be something that doesn’t violate our rules but it is not something we would like to promote further in the Fediverse. Members can still follow users in these servers to receive this content but it will not be displayed in our federated timeline.

Suspension a.k.a. Defederation

Servers are suspended when their content violates our rules. Their content will not be visible to members of the Zeal Center, nor will they be able to interact with members of the Zeal Center.
